Autonomous (up to 2 years without recharging) receiving and transmitting module "SPLAV L70GSM m" is used as part of the quickly deployable security complex FDAMC "Staya". Preceives alarm messages from 20 security detectors at a frequency of 869.25 MHz (range 500 m) and sends SMS to the GSM network (a SIM card is required).

The FDAMC "Staya" complex is a fully autonomous outdoor security system for the perimeters of small, detached, remote objects with an extended operating time without recharging (up to 2 years).

The detector module can have an infrared motion detector (L70GSM m PIR) or be without one (L70GSM m).

The module is powered by an internal battery with a voltage of 3.7-4.2 V.

For radio channel 869.25 MHz uses an internal antenna, for the GSM range - an external one (sma connector).

The detector is designed for round-the-clock operation outdoors (IP65 casing protection rating) at an ambient temperature from minus 40 ° C to 55 ° C and relative air humidity up to 98% at a temperature of 35 ° C without condensation.

Choosing an installation location:

For better reception of radio signals from the detectors, place the module as high as possible and with a clear line of sight between the detectors and the module. The connector for connecting an external GSM antenna should be located at the bottom. When choosing a location for installing the module, it is necessary to avoid obstacles to the propagation of radio signals.

The best results in terms of the quality of radio signal delivery are obtained when placing the module outdoors. When placing the module indoors, try to install it closer to a window. Do not install the module in metal cabinets or near metal structures, as this may impair the quality of radio signal transmission. Be sure to test the radio alarms from each detector.

Installation and connection procedure:

Purchase a nanoSIM card from the operator whose connection quality is the best in the region of intended use. In your personal account, select the correct tariff plan taking into account the minimization of expenses for the transmission of SMS messages. Disable unnecessary services and functions of the number. Refuse mailings and other SMS operator. Delete all numbers from the nanoSIM address book.

Using a cell phone, write down in the address book located in the nanoSIM card that will be installed in the detector, a phone number named 1 to which SMS messages will be sent.

Open the package and remove the detector from the container. Unscrew the 4 screws at the corners of the case and open the cover. Install the nanoSIM card in the detector compartment. The compartment is opened by shifting it upward and folding the cover upward. The nanoSIM key is located at the bottom right of the compartment. After installing the nanoSIM, close the compartment in the reverse order.

Connect the battery installed behind the board by connecting the two connectors (the connectors have keys to prevent reverse polarity). The board also has holders for installing an ICR17500 battery, which can be installed instead of the standard one after its service life has expired or if it is impossible to charge the battery on site. Do not use two batteries in parallel. Avoid reversing the power supply, as this will immediately lead to the failure of the device.

Program the detector channels:

Prepare the devices that the module needs to remember - open the cases and remove the batteries. Connect the module power supply and enter the programming mode. To do this, press and hold the module button. When a multi-tone power-on signal appears, continue holding the button down for a few more seconds until a single-tone signal appears.

Release the button. The module will display the current channel number by the number of flashes, accompanied by short sound signals. Then the module will report the status of the current channel. If the channel is free and the flashes are short, the module is ready to record the device programming code from the radio. If the channel is busy, the flashes are long, and the channel can only be recorded by deleting the contents of the memory cell.

A short press on the button will switch the channel to the next one. And pressing and holding the button for a long time will erase the contents of the cell, which will be confirmed by a two-tone sound signal. After that, the channel number will be displayed again and 2 short flashes will indicate readiness to accept and record the programming code.

To transmit the programming code, install the battery in the device (detector or key fob). Within 3 seconds, the code will be transmitted. If a code for this device already exists in a cell, the module will notify you with a sound signal and display the number of the cell (channel) in which this device already exists in pulses.

When accepting and recording the device programming code in the non-volatile memory of the module, the module will generate a multi-tone sound signal and display the current channel number and its status. Thus, by short presses of the module button, you can select the desired channel number, and by long pressing, you can erase the current channel from memory. If you continue to hold the button after erasing the channel, the channel will not be erased, and the module will exit the programming mode. If the channel was empty, pressing and holding the button will exit the programming mode.

Install the detectors on the perimeter of the facility. The module can be turned on and off using either the "SPLAV TM m" key fob or the button located on the module board. To turn the button on and off, press and hold it for a few seconds until a multi-tone sound signal appears. In this case, the SMS message "system on" or "system off" will be sent to the phone with the number named "1". After making sure that the rubber seal is installed correctly, close the cover and tighten the 4 screws with a torque of 2 Nm.
Using the KMC, install the module and connect the antenna.

Module operation:

After preparing the module for operation (setting up the nanoSIM, programming the channels, placing the module and connecting the antenna), turn on the module using the "SPLAV TM m" key fob. In a few seconds, an SMS message should arrive stating "SYSTEM ON BRELOK N xx" or "SYSTEM ON" if the module was turned on using the button on the board. When the module is turned off, the corresponding messages will be "SYSTEM OFF BRELOK Nxx" or "SYSTEM OFF".

Each time an SMS message is sent, the battery status is checked. If the module battery is discharged, the SMS message "SPLAV POWER IS OUT N0" will be sent, where 0 means the module.

When receiving radio signals from detectors, the following SMS messages can be sent:

  • «SPLAV ALARM Nхх» alarm of the detector channel xx;
  • «SPLAV POWER IS OUT Nхх» low battery of the detector channel xx. The battery discharge of the detectors is checked once per hour and at the moment of each alarm transmission to the module.

If for some reason there is no connection to the GSM network, the module emits a three-time beep and attempts to connect every minute until it sends a message or the
battery is discharged. When discharged, battery module switches off.

If alarm radio signals are received from the detectors while sending SMS, up to six alarms can be sent in one SMS.

The funds on the SIM card account should be checked either using a cell phone (with the SIM card of the detector installed in it), or interactively through the website of the representative of cellular communication services or by phone of the operator.

The funds on the account are spent according to the tariff plan. When making calls, the funds on the account are spent taking into account the cost of the SMS or their number in the tariff
plan. The funds on the account are replenished in the usual generally accepted ways. Please note that failure to use communication services (no SMS for the period) may result in the SIM card being deleted by the communication operator, so when concluding a service contract, discuss this issue with the operator.

ATTENTION! Do not operate the detector without a SIM card. Observe the polarity of the battery. At temperatures below -20 degrees, use only a freshly charged battery.

When you receive a text message about the low battery, recharge it as soon as possible. To do this, open the module cover and connect the charger to the vertical microUSB connector located on the right side of the board. When the blue indicator lights up, the charging process begins. When the green indicator lights up, the battery is fully charged. The charging current is limited to 1A, and it may take several times to fully charge.

The jumpers on the board are not used and are installed to implement new features available with a software update in the future.
